Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Aftercare program last?
At California Horizon, we don’t put a clock on support. While the initial intensive transition phase typically lasts 6 to 12 months, you are a member of our alumni family for life. Our doors and phone lines remain open to you as long as you need the connection.
What happens if I feel like I might relapse after leaving?
This is exactly why we have an Aftercare plan. You will have a direct line to our clinical team and your alumni peers. If you feel a red flag moment, you contact us immediately, and we work through your Safe-Home strategy together to keep you on track.
Does my insurance cover Aftercare services?
Most PPO insurance plans cover the clinical aspects of aftercare, such as outpatient therapy (IOP/PHP) and psychiatric follow-ups. Our admissions team can provide a free verification to show you exactly how your plan supports long-term recovery. Call (866) 983-7975 to confirm your specific coverage and minimize out-of-pocket expenses.
Can I visit the Westminster house after I graduate?
Absolutely. We encourage alumni to return for scheduled events, holiday celebrations, and mentorship opportunities. Keeping a physical connection to the place where your healing began is a powerful tool for maintaining long-term sobriety.
How do you help me find a therapist or doctor in my hometown?
Our case managers handle the heavy lifting. We coordinate with a network of trusted Orange County and national providers to ensure your transition is seamless. We make sure your new providers have the records and insights needed to continue your care without a gap.
